i had an interview lined up today and hr emailed me two hours before the scheduled time to tell me they'd just sent an offer to another candidate and so were canceling my interview. this was for a company that literally sought me out and *asked* me to apply for their role. genuinely evil people.

So they're going to do this for one, maybe two games. It'll be full speed ahead until it's 6 months from release and the game is falling apart, at which point they'll pay an insane overtime rate for a QA studio to do it last minute which won't be enough.
