Morniae

Man changing into a bearded werewolf with dark brown beard and hair and lighter brown fur. Muzzle halfway done, mouth open and tongue hanging out to the side with gums and lips darkening and some blood from the fangs pushing out. Thin-rimmed glasses still hanging on the nose now at the end of a muzzle, while what remains of a flannel shirt is being torn at by one dark hand. Moonlight casts a silvery light from top left while campfire casts a red light from bottom right.

I'm so super happy with this that I simply have to share it immediately. Amazing rendered bust commission by @haliteatiger.bsky.social who knocked this one out of the park (and into the moonlit woods)!

Boulet marche dans la rue, au téléphone avec Natalie. Boulet: "Hey ! Un rendez-vous s'est libéré chez le dentiste, du coup je sors vite fait, si tu as besoin d'un truc dehors ?" Natalie (voix au téléphone): "Whaaa ! C'est vrai que toi tu peux juste sortir comme ça, si tu en as envie !" Natalie est à son bureau, devant une cintiq. Natalie: "C'est cool, quand même, de ne pas avoir de vrai travail !"

Boulet s'est immobilisé dans la rue et lâche "Pas un vrai travail ?" d'une voix glaciale. Natalie (au téléphone): "Oh allez, tu vois très bien ce que je veux dire. Sans horaires fixes, quoi." Flash forward. On voit Natalie derrière Boulet, elle regarde les pages qu'il vient de dessiner. Natalie: "Oh ! Tu as bien avancé, dis-donc ! Ton album est presque fini ?" Boulet: "Oh c'était facile, tu sais ! C'est pas comme si c'était un VRAI TRAVAIL."

Flash Forward. Boulet et Natalie sur une plage. Natalie: "Ha ça fait du bien, un peu de vacances." Boulet: "Oh tu sais pour moi ça ne change rien, je n'ai pas de VRAI TRAVAIL." Flash Forward. Boulet est sur scène au festival d'Angoulême en 2039. Il a un peu grossi et vieilli, il a moins de cheveux. Il tient un prix à la main, un micro dans l'autre. Boulet: "Merci pour ce Prix du Petit Trait. J'ai eu beaucoup de temps libre pour dessiner. C'est parce que je n'avais pas de VRAI TRAVAIL." Natalie (depuis le public): "Oh, pour l'amour du ciel !"

Flash Forward. Boulet est sur son lit de mort, entouré de Natalie et de trois enfants/petits-enfants. Une petite fille rousse: "Accroche-toi, pépé !" Boulet, la voix tremblante: "Oh ne vous inquiétez pas ! Je ne suis même pas fatigué ! J'ai eu plein de temps pour me reposer vu que... Je n'ai jamais eu... de v... de VRAI TRAV..." Il est interrompu par le bip continu de la machine qui indique qu'il vient de mourir. Boulet et Natalie sont dans une marmite bouillante en enfer, avec le diable qui touille. Boulet (L'air mauvais): "Hey, si vous êtes fatigué je peux touiller un peu, hein. C'est pas comme si j'avais un VRAI TRAVAIL." Natalie (blasée): "Tu ne vas jamais lâcher l'affaire, hein ?"
