Riley was 19 when he got his license. It's good to wait until they are ready.

Piper goes to school in Charlotte, which has the worst roads. But eventually she will want mobility and maybe an internship

I'm wearing cargoes and a denim shirt and thinking about driving my Subaru to buy landscaping supplies on my day off from the landscaping company where I work.

I've always told my kids that a diagnosis is an explanation but not an excuse. You don't get a free pass for laziness or poor behavior just because your brain wiring makes life harder.

My office is a craftastrophe. I'm trying to get the kids to up their tidying game, but I am still a little traumatized from the 3 hour autistic meltdowns about cleaning that we had 10+ years ago.

Matt is tidy, so I made myself keep certain common spaces neat when I was staying home with the kids.

3/4 of us need help with executive functioning, but I've also learned that having a tidy space is less stressful. Still trying to convince my kids...
