Also on mine. It beautifully connects self–non-self and danger theories, showing that self-attack occurs only when antigens are sensed in the context of damage, without ‘self’ classification.

Antibody-lectin chimeras for glyco-immune checkpoint blockade - Nature Biotechnology Cancer immunotherapy benefits from antibody-lectin chimeras that block glyco-immune checkpoints.

Out now: We present antibody-lectin chimeras (AbLecs) as a molecular platform to target sugars, or glycans, for cancer immunotherapy.

Tertiary lymphoid structures support the development of allergen-specific progenitor CD4+ T cells Tissue-resident memory CD4+ T cells (TRM) are key sentinels of the adaptive immune response that provide a rapid, robust inflammatory response upon reactivation in non-lymphoid tissues. While CD4+ TRM...

Asthma is a chronic disease characterized by acute, intermittent, recurrent episodes of airway inflammation. A decade of work developing the tools, techniques and collaborations needed to figure out how CD4+ T cells in the lungs propagate disease can be found here:

“If you look back at the data, 250 years ago, 40% of kids never made it to adulthood. Today, it’s 4%. The majority of that decrease is due to vaccines. Vaccines have saved more lives than any other type of medical intervention, including antibiotics... -Dr. Drew Weissman, Nobel Laureate.
