I believe the people fixated on the tattoo that happened to be a totenkopf (a fairly obscure symbol of Naziism not even recognized as such by most people in the US) are stuck in this developmental phase. 2/2

Kids go thru a developmental stage where they can't differentiate between the symbol for a number & the actual number. They don't understand that the symbol is arbitrary. 1/2

& one more thing! I'm in my 70s. I see a big difference in attitude re: tattoos between seniors & genZ. For us it's a dumb thing military types get when they're drunk & can't get laid. It's just ink on skin; NBD, not very meaningful. For genZ it seems like a mystical, meaningful rite of passage 1/2

Graham will beat Collins with on-the-ground organizing and a positive message that working people deserve more, and we can get it if we work together. He's held almost 50 town halls across ME; answers every (unscreened) question w/o deflection and with grace. He's the real deal, and he can win.

All the unions in Maine, including nurses in Houlton & Ft Kent who he's been supporting to unionize. Tell Platner's family he's antisemitic: they'll laugh & laugh (yes, half of them are Jewish; one lives in Israel).

Looks like there will be pretty good turnout at the Dem caucus in Brunswick. This past year has truly pushed people to engage in local politics to build movements for a better future for Maine and the country. Really happy to see it! Wish I had numbers for all the events this weekend.
