There is no routine screening tests for prostate cancer in the UK for the reasons you mentioned above π
09.08.2025 09:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0NHS Scotland does test for prostate cancer but there's no blanket screening programme in Scotland or rUK because the PSA test is not considered reliable enough.
Testing is available based on clinical judgment, risk factors or symptoms and men can request a PSA test after discussion with their GP.
What gets me is that the people of England could enjoy the same benefits as Scotland, such as free prescriptions, free education and more.
Itβs their own unionist politicians who redirect the funding elsewhere and wherever that βelsewhereβ may be, it does not serve the interests of the electorate.
I agree wholeheartedly the SNP have done a good job bringing positive benefits to Scotland and the people and we need to hold on to that.
However, the SNP are not the SDP (Scottish Devolution Party) so we need strong leadership and determination in advancing in their reasons for their existence.
I don't know how you work out that we haven't had a "voters majority" when the voters have placed indy party majorities in Holyrood since 2011.
07.08.2025 18:08 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Once Scotland and Wales are sovereign independent countries and Northern Ireland is reunified with Ireland, perhaps England will finally have the chance to stand on its own two feet.

14 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS
The SNP's Holyrood 2026 manifesto so far appears to be on securing a majority so they can request a referendum - more than likely leading to yet another five years of crisis managing Westminster's policies.
For Holyrood's survival and independence, I hope the SNP has a strong ace up their sleeve.
Those switching off BBC Scotland are likely indy supporters rather than Unionists mainly because of the news & political programmes.
Does this also reflect the mood of Scotland for Independence?
That said, younger people are ditching telly for streaming platforms anyway.
Shouldnβt be unexpected
These are terms for negotiation during the transition period from the referendum outcome to independence day, not terms to force a referendum.
05.08.2025 18:45 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I would disagree with your comparison between Catalonia and Scotland.
There is no fair comparison between the two.
Expecting the electorate to vote for a majority SNP (near impossible) who'd then ask for a referendum (instantly denied) is playground politics.
Let's hope there's an Ace card.
Sincere question. Ahead of the 2026 Holyrood election what plans or proposals does the SNP have regarding independence beyond asking Westminster for a referendum if they secure a majority?
05.08.2025 18:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I fully agree with your view but labelling them "stupid people" might only encourage them to vote more for unionist parties.
We want a democratic, independent Scotland that respects other views and encourages open discussion to understand different perspectives.
Scotland is a country. A country that Westminster claims is an equal partner within a union.
That in itself should give Scotland access to an international court.
Build the foundations to provide a springboard for the Indy Scottish economy. Invest in domestic industries, energy, public housing, land reform, food production. Plan the necessary institutions for a state including central bank, payments systems and regulatory institutions. Get ready for Indy!
04.08.2025 16:06 β π 4 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0Independence. None of the improvements we've achieved through devolution are safe without it, as all the parties capable of winning a Westminster election are talking about rolling back devolved powers.

03.08.2025 17:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If the UK is welcomed back to the EU there's no guarantee the EU would treat the UK the same as the UK pre brexit.
65 countries have gained independence from the UK or the British Empire, none have asked to come back under Westminster rule.
All 65 countries have currency systems and policies.
According to GROK :
Some clubs use slightly altered badges for goalkeeper kits to match the unique color schemes or patterns, which often differ from outfield kits to comply with regulations requiring goalkeepers to stand out.
We will definitely agree on both of those options.
Have a nice day and Scotland hope to welcome you back to the EU one day π
Within the UK, Scotland contributes more to the UK than N Ireland, Wales and 7 of England's fiscal regions. Most of who have larger populations than Scotland.
That's just plain and simple facts.
It's not me who breaks down the fiscal regions.
These regions are used by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and other bodies to analyse public sector revenue, expenditure and net fiscal balance on a regional basis.
And NO, Scotland wouldn't be worse off outside the current formula.
No. You've highlighted Scotland in your comparison with England, so why can't you accept my similar comparison for the entire UK?
It's not meaningless. You simply dislike the facts.
I'm now curious which nation or region you live in. Is Scotland subsidising you?
Who said it was?
