Internals of the floppy after modifications.
Rear of the floppy after modifications. 12 VDC barrel jack, USB-B and a toggle switch for programming the internal microcontroller.
Anyway… I don’t usually like to modify old hardware, but this is being Greaseweazlefied!

5.25" floppydrive in an external enclosure.
Rear of said floppy. A DB25 data connector and a DIN power input.
Internals.
Underside of the internal floppy drive. Text on the motor: "Astro Ext-310LT", "for Ozalid/LTP", "Serial Number:89-1100", "Astro Systems, Inc.", "Santa Clara, Calif.", "Made in USA".
Weird old external floppy drive. I have no idea what system it belongs to, but at least I know I don’t have that system in my possession.
