I recently broke out Let’s Go to Japan with my staff of tour planners after hours on a team retreat, and while it started out as the silliest thing to attempt with my normie coworkers in a crowded Atlanta hotel lobby, they ended up loving it and playing late into the night.

I’m very public about my board game love because it usually leads to an appreciative or intrigued smile. People often give a shocked laugh when I reveal that Catan and Ticket to Ride are referred to as “gateway games” designed to lure them into even more complex and beautiful game experiences.

Maybe we can get a Severance/Ted Lasso crossover episode.

My 3-year-old asked me “what’s more time than clock?” And I’m still scooping up pieces of my tired Dad brain.
