I think it needed to connect red pill culture and crypto scamming to American politics much more clearly. and I think louis maybe allowed social media response to his presence to become too big a part of the story, luring him into an ego battle with his subjects. anyway
he seemed hung up on the subjects’ marriage arrangements and in proving that the desire for multiple partners was harmful to the men’s wives. regardless of how we feel about it, people do have toxic poly marriages like that, imo there were a lot more obvious harms to explore
maybe I’m already too acquainted with the topic, but I actually didn’t think the ‘manosphere’ documentary was Louis’ best work. these people are so naturally abhorrent that watching them speaks for itself, but I expected a clearer throughline to the wider harms of radicalization
