π Been a while...
Sad day for the racing community today but hope the family of Michael O'Sullivan can take some comfort from the many, many positive messages of just how brilliant Mikey was.
I never met him myself but admired his riding skills, he was a huge talent and he'll be missed.
π No jumps racing today but fingers crossed NAAS will still go ahead tomorrow.
The Lawlor's is one of my favourite races of the season and I'm hoping to see a very competitive race, with a number of clues ahead of the 2025 Cheltenham Festival.
π Looking forward to seeing LOSSIEMOUTH (hopefully) in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton.
She's a lovely, lovely horse and could make into one of the best mares trained by Willie Mullins.
π
Busy few days coming up...
A total of 10 jumps meetings on Boxing Day.
π THE Christmas Day for horse racing fans.
π Who wins the John Durkan today then, lads?
π₯ BALLYBURN goes novice chasing then.
β
STATE MAN, LOSSIEMOUTH and BRIGHTERDAYSAHEAD all declared for the Grade 1 Morgiana Hurdle on Saturday.
π₯ Some race in prospect there.
Gavin Cromwell on LIMERICK LACE, per Nick Luck:
"The plan is to run in the Betfair Chase but we're keeping a very close eye on the weather forecast and hopefully the rain comes.
"As of yesterday, it was good ground so we'll certainly need rain."
π LUCCIA, third in last season's Champion Hurdle but pulled up on her reappearance at Wetherby, is now showing as out of training.
βοΈ The first red cross on BlueSky for me - racing at Hexham has been abandoned after snow.
Nicky Henderson after today's gallop at Newbury:
"Donβt ever underestimate Sir Gino until I let you. He is the horse that can do that with Constitution Hill, and in my opinion no other horse could do that."
Will CONSTITUTION HILL get back to his best or not?
JP McManus has bought recent Cheltenham Pertemps qualifier winner THE WALLPARK.
π Stayed three miles very well in that race the last day and is a big player in either the Pertemps Final or even, the Stayers Hurdle...
πͺ Patrick Neville on THE REAL WHACKER, per the Racing Post:
"The King George is going to be very hot. We were going to go for the King George and avoid the Betfair, but we looked at Haydock and decided if the ground was nice we'd go there."
π All DYSART ENOS aren't we?
π€ Been the plan for some time and hope she turns out to be as good as connections think she is.
I'd absolutely love to her storm up the Cheltenham hill to win the Greatwood Hurdle tomorrow.
π Good morning everyone - who's the NAP at Cheltenham and Navan today then?
π₯ Some quality racing on both sides of the Irish sea.
π 1 day down, 2 to go...
Who wins the Paddy Power Gold Cup tomorrow then?
π Who's the Cheltenham NAP today then?
π Cheltenham November meeting eve.
π€ Hopefully three days of exhilarating jumps racing.
π Who knows if X will still be around by the 2025 Cheltenham Festival?
