It is breathtaking! When I left the site, I remember thinking that I will probably never visit a more beautiful space than the place I am now exiting.

Yup. The live in the mud. Once you get them, you run water through them until it come out clear.

Then you allow them to “swim” in some water that is around 212 degrees that has a generous amount of crab boil, corn, potatoes, and sausage in it and this is the outcome. 😋

There is a Cajun restaurant in Mt. Juliet who has a shipment that comes in on Friday. I slide through on Saturdays to see if he has 3-5 lbs he can sell me and he usually does. I get them for around $6/lb.

Post image How WE PROGREsS. —Nelson Merry's church was croded with colored men, women and children last night to bear a lecture from an educsted moman of their race, named "Mrs. F. E. W. Hurper." Her language and delivery were excellent, and her advice as to industry, honesty, elc., even better, but her political teachings were abominable, uitra Radical in their nature, and calculated to encourage intense hatred toward the whites of the Southi.

That moment after the Civil War when noted abolitionist and educator Frances Ellen Watkins Harper came to Nashville to talk about Freedom.

Some found her political teaching “abominable.”

Today the city renamed this section of South Ave after one of its greatest warriors.

King Hollands excelled in spaces that were not created for him, sat so we could stand, and inspired us whenever he spoke.

He also had the swag of Brian (Billy D. Williams) from Mahogany.

A group of protesters stand across from the state police, who are ordering them to stop their march. John Lewis, dressed in a trenchcoat and wearing a backpack leads a group of protesters across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. A great cloud of witnesses gather at the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Someone raises an American flag in the middle of the crowd. Comedian and activist, Dick Gregory marches amongst the protesters at Selma

A Great Cloud of Witnesses

Today is the anniversary of an important day in American history, and also a day in 2015 that I will never forget.
