I get just as much attention here as I did on Twitter.
Middle management is why we're "running out" of great ideas, not because the creative people don't have them anymore.
TL;DR - Fuck this bullshit take.
Plus, everything is filtered through corporate committees anymore. Rather than letting artists be artists, some suit has to stick their I-wish-I-was-creative-but-I'm-not-so-I'll-tell-creative-people-what-to-do nose into the process because they want to be involved in the "fun" part of the work.
Those are all individual disciplines. Rather than being excellent at one of them, you have to (at least) be mediocre at all of them to land a job.
Have you looked at a job posting for a Graphic Designer lately? To qualify for 99% of the work out there, you have to have experience in design, and be able to animate, and be good at photography, and website design, and social media marketing...
The women and men who are full of good ideas and overflowing with talent and skills are stuck at dead-end jobs & struggling to make ends meet because corporate overlords won't pay them a decent salary to "just" be creative.
