Now i’d personally agree that Buzfeed Feminism isn’t particularly leftist or even anti-capitalist, but such content was at the heart of a lot of progressive awakenings for people, myself included. And in that environment, ”cishet white male” became a shorthand for saying ”your problems don't matter”

I would agree, but it actually often does come from ”the left” and not just reactionary media. Pop feminism of the 2010’s focused way too much on toxic masculinity while failing to acknowledge how capitalist patriarchy keeps working class men down as well.

As for solutions, I personally think that we need to not just fact check, but to testify: to produce high-affect, dogmatic espistems that actually align with reality and respect the fullness of human experience. I think that'll be hard to do, but will need to be a skill we learn.

There are some disadvantages that come with bilingualism in minority languages, and those are real disadvantages, but those are resultant of social stigma and discrimination and not from the minority language itself. This is why fighting for language rights is so important (not like you didn't know)

I disagree! The neurological benefits of bilingualism can't tell the difference between Mandarin or Basque as a second language, and connection to a minority language provides the same if not greater cultural enrichment as any other, especially for heritage speakers.
