Diaphragm Position on Chest Radiograph to Estimate Lung Volumes in Neonates This cross-sectional study investigates if use of diaphragm position relative to posterior ribs on the chest radiograph of neonates reliably estimates aerated lung volume.

Does counting ribs on neonatal CXR really work?

In 218 babies, we found a weak correlation with CT lung volumes.

Time to abandon old dogmas?
