How do different breathing patterns initiate preterm lung injury during PPV?
Time to consider when suppressing breathing maybe more protective?

Diaphragm Position on Chest Radiograph to Estimate Lung Volumes in Neonates This cross-sectional study investigates if use of diaphragm position relative to posterior ribs on the chest radiograph of neonates reliably estimates aerated lung volume.

Does counting ribs on neonatal CXR really work?

In 218 babies, we found a weak correlation with CT lung volumes.

Time to abandon old dogmas?

Lead by Dr Sophia Dahm published in @jama.com pediatrics.

Preterm & sick #neonates need better care to improve survival & long-term health, but research and development barriers are preventing innovation.

📣 A new Commission calls for investment & commitment in #neonatology to advance high-quality care for all #newborns.
