Oh, it's been going on since that Sticks picture I drew recently! Swapped out the usual ink tool for using a textured brush instead for linework, also changed how I handle lighting too to hopefully make things pop more!

I've been doing some new stuff with my art lately, maybe it's been noticeable? I'm definitely gonna experiment more in the future but right now I'm happy with what I've got going on!

That's fair advice. Always hated using hashtags since it feels a bit... for lack of a better word -- kinda desperate? But if I'm asking at this point might as well bite the bullet!

Oh yeah. With my 5.6k follows I average around something like 200~500 likes per post, but one account I'm thinking of has around ~1.4k follows and they can swing from 400~800 likes. I figure that I must be doing something wrong to demote my posts somehow.

That tracks, I'd have to do some more studying to see what's different in my posts vs someone else. Maybe it's something to do with commenting/replying, and being social gives you some kind of higher feed priority? I don't tend to talk much and usually focus on just art so that could be part of it.

Is there something about Bluesky I'm just not getting?

I've seen accounts with a quarter of a following with more than double the interaction. Not a huge deal since it's not my primary but I am curious if I managed to somehow butcher this account already with some kind of shadowban.
