It's not to be missed! A wonderful insight into the important work going on in Rewilding Oder Delta. Cranes, lynx, bison, river restoration, rewetting, rewilding enterprise and stunning cinematography.
'Forest restoration' is booming, but biodiversity isnโt. Why?
A lot of the time, it's just planting so-called 'forests' of alien monocultures.

Insh Marshes in @cairngormsconnect.bsky.social is full to the brim with meltwater. It's a timely reminder of how important functioning floodplains are.
Imagine if that water wasn't allowed to seep out into the flatlands surrounding the river, it would be devastating for downstream communities.
Very good to see Labour will strengthen the mandate of National Parks & National Landscapes to "recover nature".
This will require primary legislation, and was something the Glover Review proposed way back in 2019 - but the Tories never did it. 1/
