I tried to scroll back to the colors they first used at the announcement but it’s pretty much just green and white that I could find. The ForDenver FC movement had the pale yellow, pink, a more olive green and a bit of that blue 🤷‍♀️

My guess is they thought there’d be a blue sky or water element but the crest designer went in a different direction (which is fine and cool but creates a mismatch for this season)

Brand power dictates priority. Adidas pay £75M/ yr to Arsenal to crank and sell as much merch as they can. I suspect the league sponsorship needs to carry more weight and dictate more parameters etc for teams. That’s the actual curious discussion

What I actually think would be interesting to know for NWSL kits is what parameters Nike gives teams. I don’t actually believe that none of these teams are capable of designing a kit, my guess is that for a variety of reasons things get shot down and I’d be interested in that deep dive.

There was more detail in even the tops they were at Coachella but I I think those were fairly generic designs (seeing similar designs in other teams pre match tops)
