Which is fair, but sometimes it's not the rulebook that is wrong, and not rewatching out for clarification can hurt the reputations of everyone involved. Designers and publishers make mistakes, but so do lots of players and reviewers.

Alaska is such a beautiful and strange world of extremes. I miss it sometimes, but I do not miss the lack of sunlight during most of the winter.

Sometimes it is a bad rulebook or a mistranslation, but even then they should reach out so that the publisher/designers can look at improving their rulebook.

The review industry for boardgames is so odd compared to any other industry.

Honored that our game, Winter Rabbit, was on the list, but the email they sent out also managed to list a different publisher and URL link. Though they were quick to respond to our email to get that corrected.

I'm now more focused on narrative systems like PbtA systems and FATE. But I really enjoyed 4e back in the day.

4e gets a bad rap because it was so different in some ways from previous D&D incarnations, but it was a very fun and easy to learn system at the time that helped bring a lot of new people to the game and brought some old folks, like myself, back to the game.

Judex has a pretty good claim to one of the first masked superheroes period. He predates all comic heroes and even Zorro. Only the Scarlet Pimpernel predates him that I know of.

This is also why I feel rulebooks need to be written not just to teach, but also to act as reference guides so people can look up things. Which is always going to happen.

I love the showing of inspirations. We have done this with our two solo RPGs. Gives people instant cultural touchstones on what kind of experience they should expect.

Be happy you did. It is indeed exhausting. But he seems to have left Dice Tower again. Also the fact that I mostly disengaged from Dice Tower long ago continues to feel like the right choice.

Between the uncanny valley humans and all the weird textures and meetings, that trailer gave more of a horror vibe than it did a historic epic.

Sleeves are a bit harder/more expensive to produce. So you don't really see them being done by independents the way you do playmats. Dragonshield has their custom sleeve maker, but no money goes to the artists from that.

Clove is just so strong that you have to be easy with it. Can easily over power. But I find a dash adds a nice touch to a lot of cobblers and dessert bakes.

I feel like coffee cake can always use a little nutmeg. And sometimes a touch of clove.

Is that how you get rear end collisions?

I want to distance myself from BGG more and more. But at the same time, it remains such an important hub for the average game hobby fan. Wish there were an alternative to it for a number of reasons.

PAX South 2015 is when Absurdist Productions started. David attended several panels on game design, and then, inspired by a dinner out with friends, designed Churrascaria. Since then, we've published 3 board games and 2 RPGs. It's been an amazing 11 years, and we look forward to many more.
