But we didn't want our Christmas beetle being the only one bundling up for the holidays. For our last two mini's this month we also wanted to highlight the cozy side of the winter season and landed on a cozy take on Root and Ollie. Sometimes it only takes one sketch! 3/?

From the beginning we knew we wanted to make a Christmas themed insect.. After tossing around ideas for four months, we learned about a beautiful scarab from Australia that arrives with Christmas each year: the Anoplognathus or also known as the Christmas Beetle! 2/?
