No different than what's already on Vision Pro and a few other devices.
It's a nice convenience feature, and you can always just use a passcode if you're someone with privacy concerns.
The catgirl was once again overcurious :3

Following Meta's announcement of limited-edition Quest "inspired by Xbox" a little over a year ago, multiple reports indicate that Meta may launch 'Meta Quest 3S - Xbox Edition' as soon as next week.
It may include an Xbox controller and possibly other accessories.
Here are my thoughts after a short demo with the #UDCAP gloves last week. They're highest fidelity glove tracking I've tried so far!
I think I'm becoming the VR glove guy... ๐งค #UDEXREAL #VRChat

I don't think I've posted my Ko-fi more than once here since I'm not super active compared to my other socials, but this month has been rough wrt. my health and anything is appreciated if you enjoy what I do!

My main concern with Android XR is that a lot of the pitch has basically been them trying to convince developers they won't abandon it lol.
It's also really easy to port apps from Meta/HzOS, but I can't imagine them reaching close to the same install base with a 1P Pixel-like device.
Meta seems to be working on an overhaul to Home Environment system that will make it more seamless to switch between it, Worlds, and Immersive apps.
These are some images of the new Hub or 'Personal World'
I think in the context of *AR* specifically they almost require each other. There's not really an obvious stack to present discreet contextualization to the user in something like wearable form factors.
For VR/MR though, the benefits are shaky at best.

Yeah it's really buggy sadly. It's also really showing its age with regard to the outdated perf. compared to even the 3S.

03.05.2025 00:14 โ ๐ 17 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Here's what VR enthusiast Luna's datamining of the Quest Public Test Channel build reveals about the future of Meta Horizon OS:
03.05.2025 00:00 โ ๐ 15 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1There are far, far too many VRC assets that fall into this category.

28.04.2025 13:47 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It would appear that Meta is working to implement eye/face authentication on Horizon OS, I assume for Quest 4 and 3P headsets (like the ones they are building with ASUS and Lenovo) that will likely have the needed inward facing sensors.
26.04.2025 18:33 โ ๐ 17 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1That turned out amazingly! :D
22.04.2025 09:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0What bothers me even more is that the person I assume you're subbing wasnโt even focused on VR in their threadโ it was more about using VR's "failure" as proof to imply no oneโs using AI, which just isnโt true.
So many anti-tech takes are vibes-based, because once you bring in data they fall apart.
Yeah, although I think thatโs part of the issue itself. Thereโs no ground truth for whatโs actually a reasonable projection.
Iโll also add that, though they attempt to, charts like this donโt properly represent macroscale actuals since they donโt fully split by device class + rely on inward ests.
Frankly, I'm always troubled by the unwillingness to put a number on 'everyone' when people make statements like this.
It's often a disingenuous way of sidestepping an admission of the value of technology, esp. in VR's case where (by ests.) you're just as likely to find an HMD in a home as an Xbox.
