People often think it's "the plot" that makes people invested, but it's the human element.

If your OC does something weird or relatable or weirdly relatable, tell people about it. I get a lot of traction talking about how much OC likes cats. People just like to feel connected.

yeah calligraphr is great I've used it a few times, but not super in depth even if u pay for it. I think most professionals use fontlab or just illustrator

think I want to try my hand at creating a proper typeface or two. I keep thinking about it. no idea how but I've banged my head against the wall learning worse

mostly because I think a refined version of my handwriting would be great for comics
