If trans people want/need to leave, that is worthy. It’s also worthy to stay and fight, or to need to stay and still need rights. Queer folks in red states need and deserve our support at least as much as the work being done from “safer” states

If you have people in affected areas (lots of US and Canadian expats, snowbirds and tourists there) they should get in contact with their embassy, stay inside, keep calm, eat something, charge their phones etc.

Yes this is disruptive and scary for visitors but it’s much much harder on the locals

All workers need unions. Usually there is a combination of industry and geographical region involved, unless workers decide to form an independent union. The work I do is specialized so that helped determine my choice of representation

Jean and Jorts give incredibly useful advice about how to advocate for your rights in the workplace. There should not be assumptions made by management about how the toilet paper got in that state.
