Gender affirming surgeries are not "cutting body parts off". That is an oversimplification of complex surgical procedures. And plenty of surgical procedures are irreversible. Your only hangup is that they're for trans folk. (hence, bigotry)
And I know this because cis people get elective surgeries to fix their mental impairments all the time. Tummy tucks, butt lifts, botox, nose jobs, chin tucks, liposuction, dentistry, etc. And, at a rate far exceeding trans surgeries.
But fixing mental impairment doesn't qualify, huh? Again, you don't get to make that determination. Individuals do.
