The Peace President
Today's abysmal jobs report is a reminder that tax cuts for corporations and the rich don’t create jobs or grow the economy.
What's required is investment in working people — and better wages.
When workers have money to spend, the economy grows and businesses create more jobs.
Remember this.
Noem’s firing made something clear: Trump can be forced to retreat when Democrats go on the attack, expose his incompetent and dishonest lackeys, and effectively use free media.
We need more of that, Democrats.
FU Ron. Stop pedaling BS. Fixed it for ya, ya commie.
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Kristi Noem.
Thank you Bulwark community!

Can we get Nick Shirley on this?
"Everything that they do is calculatedly cruel."
In the latest episode of Bulwark Takes, @sarahlongwell25.bsky.social, @timmiller.bsky.social, and @jvl.bsky.social visit the Whipple Building and interview locals standing watch:
Zero Republicans call for Benghazi-style hearings. No rightwing media outrage. Republicans dined off of 4 dead Americans in Benghazi for a decade, and yet 3 dead Americans at the hands of a GOP president who promised no new wars gets no pushback. Fuck these fake outrage ghouls.
Minnesota U.S. Senate candidate Michele Tafoya claimed California's homeless population is 30%.
FACT: it's actually 0.48%. She spews this BS b/c she knows the MAGA rubes are gullible AF and will believe 12M (of the 40M) Californians are homeless.
That's quite the miss. But certainly within what we can call the Trump Margin of Error.

Some excellent reality imparting here.
Voting is not a brand statement. Voting is not a performance. Voting is a tool for shaping outcomes. Use it like an adult.
Are Ana Kasparian and Tucker Carlson a political odd couple? Or are they really two sides of the same coin?

Graham Platner wants the Democratic party to become a party of working people again.
"Republicans want you to believe that cheating is the only way Democrats can win elections."
Why? Because "if they can get the public to believe that, they can claim that they don’t have to accept the results."
My video on the GOP's scheme to delegitimize — and, if necessary, deny — the midterms.
💯
Fixed it: That is the Republican Party since 1968ish.
Left-wing Big Government seems to be the greater threat in the libertarian mind than right-wing Big Government. It's time for that to change.

Add it all up and what do you get—a scared president trying very hard to assure Americans that he is succeeding. He understands that he has major popularity problems with some of his flagship issues and is hunting around for triumphs that he can sell.
Get off there.
If Democrats want to regain working people, they must disavow Big Money.
They must hammer economic populism — and have a laser focus on the cost of living crisis in America.
There’s no way the party can speak for or represent the working class in America if it's beholden to corporate interests.
