😂 To answer your question a little more seriously, I don't think I would enjoy writing a story with a tragic ending for the MCs. I love my fictional children too much to wreak too much havoc upon them.

"The one with the heart" is not always a requirement in my stories.

The week has been rough, but I've successfully written 6k of 10k words for a novella I'm drafting this month. I think it's going to be closer to 20k by the time I'm finished, but hopefully not much longer than that.

I'm new to publishing my stories, so I'm still actively working to get over the fear. I try to write my books as if I'm the only one who's going to read them, and it helps that I have supportive friends who love to read the things I write, too. I tell myself the naysayers are not my target audience.

Character and setting studies are so helpful! I love writing them, especially to get a feel for the main characters and their relationship dynamic.
