That’s a GORGEOUS cover David & possibly one of the best ones you have had 🤩🤩🤩
The second book of The Astral Kingdoms Trilogy now has both a name and a cover!
DAUGHTER OF DESTRUCTION
Thank you so much, @magalivilleneuve.bsky.social, for such incredible artwork. I could not have envisioned a more perfect representation of Isabelle.
New Iran thread: How bad is the oil shock caused by Trump’s failing war? This is the largest oil reserve release in history, in a desperate attempt to keep down prices.

Today we're reviewing The Book of Fallen Laves, a samurai-inspired fantasy that makes a valiant attempt at being the next great political fantasy but ultimately falls short.
Thanks to Orbit Books for the ARC!

CNN is saying the Iranian attack happened after Trump “lost patience with negotiations”.
I don’t believe it. The negotiations were cover. This was always the plan. The scale of the military buildup showed that.
Read this interview and now I’m wondering who should be cast in Night of the Mannequins movie.

Today we're reviewing Daughter of No Worlds, a definite top tier romantic fantasy!
Thanks to Bramble Romance for the finished copy!
Another good piece here from my editor (and not just because my novel is mentioned :P). Writers like Shirley Jackson and Kurt Vonnegut were my own portal into literature. dearheadofmine.substack.com/p/bulletproo...
Many congratulations to @gouravmohanty.bsky.social on the paperback release for DANCE OF SHADOWS
As a desi fantasy reader, there’s no one like Gourav combining GRRM’s worldbuilding, Abercrombie’s prose & Indian mythology. If you haven’t jumped on this amazing series yet, why not?
Green & Deadly Things is a great ride for those who favor plot over character, zipping from one action scene to the next.
Our review!
Thanks to @torbooks.bsky.social for the ARC!
New Review - time to meet my new favourite witch Mehrab - run and get hold of this excellent story - A Forest, Darkly by @angelaslatter.bsky.social out now may thanks to @titanbooks.bsky.social www.runalongtheshelves.net/blog/2026/2/...
So far the QUEENS OF VILLAINY romance stories have been a delight: powerful women refusing to be "put in their place" and finding men who whole-heartedly support them on that journey.
Our review of the latest from Stephanie Burgis!
NEW: ICE has a plan to lease offices across the US as part of a secret, months-long expansion campaign.
Today, @wired.com is publishing dozens of those locations. Many are near schools, medical offices, and places of worship.
Vital work from @leahfeiger.bsky.social that I'm proud to publish.
Every year, the Poisoned Pen Bookstore features a special promotional giveaway for those who preorder a Rollins’ title. TRUST NO ONE comes with something very unique: an additional cover wrap that inverts the design’s colors (see mock-up below, though the final version is still pending).
A little update to this. A source emailed me to say they'd used an industry tool to look up Coral Hart's sales and they totaled only 37 copies for the books under that pen name.
So, yeah I do not believe the six figures on 50k sales the NYT reported.
Vinay celebrates what an excellent year of reading he had in 2025 with a run through of his Top Reads.

All flights to and from El Paso, Texas, have been grounded for ten days for “Special Security Reasons”, the Federal Aviation Administration announced.
Shutting down airspace of a major US city for such an extended period hasn’t happened since the aftermath of 9-11.
Not downplaying Eleni’s feelings. My point was George has a right to feel affronted about his books and how they get adapted. Everyone is free to criticize GRRM for the books content. I’m focussing on why the showrunner forgot to include such an important line & instead had a mundane shitting scene
He did but it’s just strange that he forgot that. Maybe after many bad adaptations, my patience is just on the lower side, so I’ll just wait to see how he adapts the remaining 2 novellas before giving him full some praise
His books so his choice 🙂 I’m more weirded out by the showrunners missing out on such an important piece of dialogue and then wanting to include such a mundane scene.
As a follow up, this was George’s reaction on seeing the scene for the first time (h/t George’s THR Interview by @jameshibberd.bsky.social).
This was certainly an odd turn by Ira Parker & doesn’t bode well for the future stories when he doesn’t have the text to adapt.
We are thrilled to announce that the next series featured on our fantasy subscription will be…
The Faithful and the Fallen by John Gwynne 🛡️⚔️
From Ira Parker’s Reddit AMA. Here’s his answer about why he left out the most important line from the Hedge Knight novella.
This is kinda weird that this scene/line would be cut but the shitting scene from episode 1 (which wasn’t in the novella) was included
Like feels incomplete. Love even doesn’t quite cover it….. I’m excited you to experience the world of Rellas and Maggie 🤩
