New 16mm Camera Spool
Kodak is announcing that the R-90 camera spool will be switching from metal to High Impact Polystyrene.
The R-90 is the well known camera spool with a square hole used for 100ft (30m) 16mm film loads.
We will continue to supply our films on metal spools as long as possible.
Very important to plaster the package with plenty of DO NOT X‑RAY stickers! 🚫✈️📦
Almost guaranteed to be ignored by customs — but it still gives you a good feeling when shipping the package 😅📦
It’s always super exciting to test a new film processing lab! 🎞️🧪 We’ve heard so many good things about Negativeland that we couldn’t resist trying them ourselves. 🎬🎥✨

Wenn heute auf Film gedreht wird, wird das in der Tat zu 99,9% digital geschnitten.
Wir liefern Klebepressen eigentlich (fast) nur noch an Archive, in denen (alte) Filme restauriert und dann digitalisiert werden.

Nein, wir sind mehr von der schmalen Fraktion (8, 16, 35). 65mm gibt es vermutlich nur direkt von Kodak.

Das Material wird heute i.d.R. für digitale Endprodukte eingesetzt und wird dann nach dem Scannen/Digitalisieren „invertiert“.
Aber man kann bei ANDEC Filmtechnik in Berlin auch noch echte Kopien anfertigen lassen, wenn das Endprodukt analog projiziert werden soll! 👍
Also bei maximum Warp (800 B/Sek.) ist eine übliche 305m Rolle in rund 16 Sekunden durch 😳😅
