Yup. Everyone can relate to having at least one bad relative.

My Oma used to send us packages from Germany every Christmas. It was dry Stollen with awful candied fruits. I can't remember if she made it herself or bought it. I just remember I never liked it. She lived in Oberhausen, so maybe it was the local variant.

Clearly we both have the wrong German relatives. I have the type that would send Stollen.

Wow . . . thanks for the stale bread with dried fruit.

I am now incredibly offended that my German relatives never asked me to partake in such festivities.

Weird? My father was murdered on a time jump and my older brother was killed in a hit and run. So now I'm stuck living with a mom who abandoned my family ages ago and doesn't give a damn about me. And I jump through time.

Weird is now my normal.

I'm important because I'm the one risking my life to keep history on track. In just 4 jumps into history I've:
-Fought at the Battle of Hastings
-Been enslaved by Romans
-Rode with a Mongol horde
-Battled with the Spartan at Thermopylae

And I thought school was hard!

Sam - I was in a forest in Anglo-Saxon England, cooking my lunch over an open fire, when I hear this moron shouting in modern English! He just goes on and on, with no thought to how dangerous it was. So I left my camp, crept closer, and yelled. "Shut up, you idiot!"

Dan - My first line? That's easy. It was when this annoying security guard started harassing me about being at the mall during school hours. So I told the guy "I'm homeschooled."

Since we're #TimeTravelAuthors, I guess it's fine to jump ahead a day! 😅
