Hello! Organisations such as CLPE, BookTrust, and Scottish BookTrust have social justice/anti-racists etc. booklists on their websites. In the UK, CLPE (and their Reflecting Realities work) are the closest equivalent we have to WNDB. There's also a new charity called Inclusive Books for Children 😊

Hello #kidlituk_intro pals. I'm Mel and I teach and research children's and YA books/book culture at the University of Glasgow. I work really closely with author, illustrators, young readers, cultural organisations, and publishers, and my vibe is very much aligned with this squirrel's 🧡

Older pupils run the book clubs for younger ones. Our charity helps young people discover a love of reading and book chat. Teachers say our book clubs increase students' well-being and grow their confidence and communication skills.
