My pleasure - even with a year gone, the book remains one of the most singular reading experiences of the year. So has to be called out :)

Twelve Months by Jim Butcher (Dresden Files #18) A somber reflective book giving us a book that we and Dresden need by way of Breaking Bad, Hobbit and Batman

Happy book bday to Jim Butcher for #TwelveMonths - The Dresden Files is my fav urban fantasy series & the 18th book gives us the same magic while being somber & reflective.

I even broke it down into 6 interesting categories, since the consultant in me loves categorization :)

- Author based additions
- Hot Sequels
- Jittery Feels
- Indie/ Self Published
- Cool titles/ premise
- Heartbreakers

26 for 2026 26 of my anticipated SFF titles for 2026 (and a few more)

2026 is almost here & so are some amazing books. I had a fear that 2025 had truly spoilt us in terms of books but as I started building the 2026 list, there were so many books that I am now properly primed for 2026

Extremity by Nicholas Binge This time-traveling, end-of-the-world police procedural with shades of Nicole Kidman’s Destroyer is an unputdownable thrilling ride with an interesting narrative choice

12) #Extremity by @bingewriting.bsky.social - 4.5/5

This time-traveling, end of the world police procedural feels like it was written for me. Searingly unputdownable with a trippy narrative, its bleak, cynical & darkly humorous & possibly the novella of the year

I could technically come down to London twice and carry the books with me for that cost :)

Yes - I added a set of books to see. The books cost £120 and the shipping estimate was £1000 🤷‍♂️

I had a total blast reading & even greater one on sharing my thoughts on this fun roller-coaster ride - @davewragg.com knocks it out of the park, dealing with a life governed by violence & the possible impacts of it across relationships....

Someone's just thrown a bottle of Omega 3 tablets at me. I only received super fish oil injuries, but still.

11) #OrdersOfMagnitude by @yuvalkordov.bsky.social - 4/5

Deeply atmospheric, tense & reflective, my foray into this fantastic incense punk novella was in parts Event Horizon & in parts Ad-Astra, featuring a Vatican-approved special forces mission to a lost colony of the moon
