Trump is going crazy on tariffs because if they vanish it sets in motion several chain reactions. One of which is that no tariffs could give a minor boost to growth, which pushes up inflation, which makes it harder to cut interest rates etc

The day after trump’s reelection I cancelled a trip to Florida (where my two brothers live). That was before tariffs, threats to our sovereignty and ICE. Not sure I’ll ever go back to the US now, even after trump and MAGA are done. Do you follow @guardtheleaf.bsky.social on YT? And @todmaffin.com?
