Exactly. There are thousands of new bots every day. Eventually, we'll probably have to establish independent professional block-list curator cadres with rules and appeals processes and transparency. But right now we're just trying to stem the tide of bots so we don't become another Twitter.

We have to be careful, and no system is perfect. Block lists are a powerful countermeasure to bot swarms, though, and over time we'll get better at curating and vetting them.

Fair enough. The core point is that the closer we got to Election Day, the more it seemed like the Dems were more worried about what Fox might say mean things about than what their own base wanted. It made them look like they didn't really have a plan at all, and that turned a lot of people off.

Nothing. That's why every time we listen to the "step away from Progressivism" people, we lose badly. Case in point, this latest election.

Where did we win? Ballot measures supporting progressive issues like abortion.

Where did we lose? Elections where we ran to the middle.

Pentagon spending has usually been protected by the GOP. Using DOGE to achieve what's been a progressive goal for decades would be both clever and amusingly ironic.

The problem is that a lot of what the Trumpublicans believe is fundamentally incompatible with basic human decency, which makes polite debate difficult.

How do you politely debate someone whose guiding principle is "human rights don't matter"?

Some people were genuinely shocked that he's embraced Project 2025 after disavowing it during the election.
