On 4 Feb, members from EULEX FPU and NATO-led mission KFOR units conducted a theoretical and practical l 🚁Air MEDEVAC (medical evacuation) training exercise at Camp Bondsteel, to strengthen coordination & enhance operational readiness in case of real-world emergencies.
We also discussed the need for governmental institutions to provide cohesive response to survivors of sexual violence. 2/

Kosovo legislative framework and international instruments guarantee two fundamental, interconnected rights: the right of access to public documents and the right to the protection of personal data.
On 26–27 January, the EULEX Correctional Unit facilitated a 2-day workshop for 12 Kosovo Correctional Service staff on drafting internal rules on individual prisoner sentence plans: key tools for reducing reoffending, & supporting reintegration & resocialization, in line with European standards.
Thrilled to welcome 100+ students from the Global Campus of Human Rights to #EULEX were they received a thorough presentation about our role in supporting the 🇽🇰 Rule of Law institutions while promoting human rights & CSDP missions.
Honored to pay respect to the memory of 🇽🇰 1st President Dr. Ibrahim Rugova’s by joining the Commemorative Academy’s ceremony on the 20th anniversary of his passing.

#EULEX Head of Mission Giovanni Pietro Barbano had an important meeting w/ NATO JFC Naples's Commander, U.S. Navy Admiral George M. Wikoff.
Barbano recognized the contribution given by the RFPU Officers from French Gendarmerie Nationale, Italian Carabinieri, Dutch Koninklijke Marechaussee, Polish Żandarmeria Wojskowa & Portuguese Guarda Nacional Republicana, to support EULEX in contributing to everyone's safety and security.
Today, #EULEX Head of Mission Giovanni Pietro Barbano presided over the official CSDP Service Medal ceremony for members of the 6th deployment of the EULEX Reserve Formed Police Unit, in the presence of EUROGENDFOR Commander Colonel Pawel Grajek.
What’s next? The newly designed 3-week management training will be delivered during spring 2026.
This will contribute towards developing the sustainable in-service training within the KCS to enhance rehabilitative and safer human rights based correctional system.
We concluded the 2nd phase of a 3-day workshop delivered by EULEX Correctional Unit w/ support of Swedish Prison & Probation Service on drafting the curriculum to support Kosovo Correctional Service in establishing Management Training for middle level managers & prison directors.

2/2 The Training of Trainers workshop was carefully tailored and designed by #EULEX as part of its community-policing advisory and gender mainstreaming efforts, ant its organization was facilitated by OSCE Mission in Kosovo.
1/2 From 8 to 9 December, members from #EULEX Police Advisory Team North delivered the workshop “De-escalation and gender sensitive communication” for instructors from the Kosovo Academy of Public Safety and Kosovo Police officers to be deployed as trainers.
