@sentencebender.bsky.social Loved your story in ‘We Will Rise Again.’ I nearly cried for Javier and I wish we had something useful like human2human. Thank you!
"Jews don't belong in American society."
Imagine a sitting member of Congress tweeting that. You can't. Thankfully, it'd never happen. And *if* it did, it'd be the end of their career and the biggest story in America.
But Ogles can say this about Muslims without any censure.
@izzyxen.bsky.social I am not reading for awards, but for my own edification, and I really felt your Storm Bluff, KS piece in ‘We Will Rise Again’ was strong, heartfelt, and powerful. It’s terrifying to find ourselves living through speculative fiction these days.
I mean…to do this without the assumed tactile advantage of hand on stone, rather at the end of a cue stick?! It’s a fantastic shot, with the double clearing of opponent stones. Just amazing ability. And, I don’t know squat of curling either, but this is top tier.
As a reader, I welcome the opportunity to learn new languages through reading. One of the reasons I started learning French was because it popped up regularly in both books I was reading and crossword puzzles.
I do rely on my teenager for the Latin though.

Commander Interceptor. So, I assume I’ll be in charge of something somewhere…or dead in the first few minutes, which is much more likely.
Why does my Discover tab show more of my following skeets than the Following tab? Seems backwards. Did I enter a different timeline/multiverse?
You can’t take anything away from Duke. They played extremely well in all facets. Louisville also played hard-nosed; made it an outstanding game. It’s a shame someone had to lose that game…but OT shows how evenly matched they were. Two games decided by 6 points. Looking forward to the NCAA tourney
That 10-second violation in regulation was the undoing of it all. It has been a hell of a game though.
I am…apologies. I was thinking of ‘North of North.’
Unfortunate as it was a really good show, but I feel like it told its story in that one season…not that there can’t be more stories.

Definitely screwed with my average time, but I did eventually get it solved.
That’s my favorite method. I have also pioneered it for other hikers.
The unfortunate thing is that she’s all too common. Here’s to more Garth and fewer fruit baskets!
@charliejane.bsky.social Thank you for your story ‘Realer Than Real’ in ‘We Will Rise Again.’ I’ve often imagined that using the absurdity against the reality would help right the ship. Also, I’m trying my darndest to avoid being the fruit basket lady.
And how…the other morning, 6 am in my backyard, sounded like someone had dialed up the robins to 11. They were everywhere and vociferous.
Some days it just seems like we should have a t-shirt or a tattoo of such.

Just finished this story yesterday. I enjoyed it to the point that I’m considering learning how to call down harpies on our own state legislature. 😈
FT comments section this morning - saying what everyone else is thinking, right?
Not only is it a lie (which is pretty much everything that comes out of his pie hole), it flies directly in the face of his previous lie from last year that said he had ‘obliterated Iran’s nuclear facilities.’

Having the president and his administration straight up lie about anything and everything and have the media just play along. I mean, the govt has lied before, but they used to at least try to cover it up. The lies now just come fast and furious, often contradicting themselves in the same day.
Sadly, pay off debt. But the minute that’s done, hopefully there’d be enough left over to fly over to Scotland and/or Ireland and have a few pints, sing a few songs, dance a little (maybe), and then back home to watch my RedSox play at Fenway.
