Whoops that should be 4yo and 2yo… now they’re almost 5 and 3.5 (next week!) with a 5mo brother, and they seem to love having him so far. He can’t move and steal their stuff yet though.

My 4yo and (at the time) 3yo boys both used to say they had their own babies in their tummies when I was pregnant with #3. Congrats by the way!

Sold our old house, slowly decorating the new one. Staying up to date on my TV though! Very important priorities.

So if you’re wondering where I disappeared to, I’m just living SAHM life with three kids under 5. 🫠

I spend a lot of time driving kids to and from preschool and my mom helps with baby. I went back to work for two months and it was simply too nuts to juggle all that shit. And then summer is a whole other story. I’ll miss working for now, but I’m grateful we’re fortunate enough that I can stay home.

My almost 5yo ASD kiddo started struggling at his Montessori school around when baby was due so we went through the IEP process in preparation for Kindergarten and ended up starting him at public pre-K with some services. So now he does mornings at the old school and afternoons at the new school. 😵‍💫

So many people told me I would have this third kid and want to quit my job, and I told them that would never happen. Guess what though. 🤡

Best part about switching to bigger clothes (6-9mos size now at almost 4mos 🥲) is putting the rest on marketplace. 👋

Guess who slept 10hrs straight through the night! No longer my nemesis.

I thought this would be more manageable but that was before the baby got sick and started waking up a bunch at night when he used to sleep through… kill me!!!

Solo parenting the 3yo and 3mo from Wed-Sun going super well, I am not at all entirely exhausted and stressed, nope, no way. 🫠

What’s interesting is that they LOVE the baby and want to give him toys and feed him etc. But they compete with each other for attention and the fighting is making me insane.

Reading parenting threads about how it can take 6 months to a year for preschoolers to adjust to a new sibling. Help. 🫠

The easiest thing about having a third baby is the baby. The hardest thing about having a third baby is that my 3yo and 4yo are adjusting by being 5x as difficult as before.

He slept until almost 5:30am!!!!!! 🎉

Basically I get up at 4:30am now.

But lately he’s been having longer stretches, which, yay! But omg is it hard to get back to sleep when the wake up is at 4:30am and you have to set your alarm for 6am to get two kids to preschool. 😵‍💫😴

I have been lucky that my new baby has been getting up once per night after being put down at 10:30pm, often after basically a dream feed and being fairly sleepy since 8:30pm. So he’s been getting up at 2:30-3:30 and it’s been manageable.

Thanksgiving was nice and low key this year.
