it's really funny to imagine going back to January when people were tipping a Peter Dutton to be PM and telling someone "actually he's going to lose so badly that it splits up a stable, governing political partnership that's existed for the better of a century"
When @AlboMP acknowledged country last night….. that was the fucking best.
"And for new Australians like me, it is the quiet proof that democracy — for all its flaws, frustrations, and noise — is still something worth believing in."

I can't set a stopwatch on my Google Home anymore. I used to be able to. Why can't I now? 🤬
The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that they’re not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.
I wonder what sort of licensing fee Open AI paid Studio Ghibli to build the database that trained Chat GPT to be able to generate images in their style so accurately it must've been HUGE right? Right? RIGHT? 🙄
Fact: No matter how we generate electricity, Australia needs new and upgraded transmission lines.
Scrapping our Rewiring the Nation plan is a reckless and dangerous thing to do.

It's time for the weekly game of BBALL REFERENCE or SEVERANCE CLUE! 🤨
Politicians often say they haven’t broken any rules when they use taxpayer $ to attend sporting events.
Reminder: politicians made these rules & could change them at any time to better reflect what most 🇦🇺ns expect of their elected representatives.

Just a normal, nice Australian charity doing normal, nice charitable things.
And definitely not an Australian charity promoting the erasure of a people and/or ethnic cleansing.
Because that would be wack.
republicans: fyi we are bombing france for being too gay and lead poisoning is now mandatory
democrats: yeah? well prepare yourselves for several strongly worded haikus
it's pretty fucked that if you want to make a map of wind conditions using BoM data for reporting/journalism purposes you have to pay thousands of dollars

For a long time I've joked that Antony Green is immortal and will never retire.
He is sharp, fast, funny, and it has been such a privilege to have a front row seat to the master at work for so long.
