I love that! I bought my kid a plug in/battery operated CD/Tape/Radio boom box from a thrift shop and have been buying her media for it. She actually uses it, and its come in handy when the power has gone out, and she only sleeps with music on. Gotta teach the new generation right 🖤
Its going to bring about a huge clash between artists and production companies in regards to rights and revenue percentages; as artists don't want to be jipped like they were in the past. We are seeing this already, with the decline of Streaming platforms like Spotify. Change is in the air!!
This will be seen as a positive and media companies will spin it as "creating jobs for people to make the physical media again" (unless companies are completely robotic/machine operated by then). Artists will be excited about the prospect of further revenue from physical media sales. BUT..
I'm gonna say this now, before it happens, booms and becomes a norm:
CD's, records and DVD's are going to make a huge comeback (like, companies actually going back into production and sales of said physical media). People will make "unboxing videos" opening these and going over whats included.
