We lost an aunt and her entire family to Jehovah Witness. I have cousins I've never met as a result. I got lucky because my parents were not religious at all!

Religion is about hate, not love. I figured that out on my own while still a teenager. People with real love in their heart don't need a god.

We have one of those peacocks in our backyard too, but without the great color of yours! He loves windy days!

I've come to the conclusion that humans will disappoint me more than they will impress me. That's not to minimize humankind's ability to do great things, but as an average guy living an average life, I no longer expect people to care about anything but themselves.

I'm not usually drawn to black and white photography, but this photo works really well without color. It shows off the shape and scale of the landscape perfectly.

I was 8yrs old when that song was released, and it was the first song the lyrics got stuck in my head and wouldn't leave for most of the 70s! I can still hear it to this day.

Were the dogs trying to decide if whatever they were looking at through the balcony fence was worthy of a bark? I really love the slice of life aspect of this photo.

You are very fortunate to not live in the US! I am embarrassed to call myself an American these days. I hate what my country is doing. I hope after this nightmare is over, Canada and Europe will forgive us. Things will never be the same though.

Your beard grows fast! Lucky you. I'd have to wait a month for the same amount to grow on me. As it is, I still cannot grow much on my cheeks and I'm 63!
