A high alpine lake sits at the base of a steep gray cirque in the North Cascades. Light breaks through drifting clouds and highlights the green meadow around the shoreline. A narrow wooden boardwalk leads toward the water, with evergreens climbing the rocky slope on the right.

Steep stone walls wrap around this alpine lake like a quiet amphitheater. Cool shadows on the cliffs, bright, warm greens under pockets of sun, and still water holding both at once. Happy #Stunday!
