I generally post nostalgic #MUFC stuff. My football opinion is as often wrong as it is correct. I'm partial to a political debate.

Do you know what would be great. It would be bloody fantastic if Senne Lammens was an incredibly boring keeper.

Edwin van der Sar was a truly wonderful boring keeper. Nothing spectacular, you seldomly if ever spoke about him after the game, he just went out and did a solid job.

Two useless bits of information ahead of tomorrow's trip to Grimsby Town.

1️⃣:
Out of every club in English football our worst win to loss ratio* is against Grimsby Town (won 16 / lost 15).

*played a minimum of 10 times

I can't overemphasise enough how important today's game is for Amorim's future

The performance last weekend was positive but the reality it that Amorim are still carrying the war wounds from last season

We have to get a positive result today. If we don't things could get very toxic very quickly.

I've posted that photo on its anniversary a few times now.

The black man in the photo always strikes me. Football terraces weren't exactly forward thinking back then & racism was rife in English football.

He was a brave man and he looked incredibly fucking cool ✊🏿

From the first day Eric Cantona walked through the doors of Old Trafford, he had the aura of a king.

The positives from today will be absolutely worthless without going to Craven Cottage and beating Fulham next weekend.

Negativity will come flooding back unless we get a positive result against Fulham.

Moral victories mean nothing - points mean everything.

Let's go there and smash them 👊

The last time Manchester United played Arsenal in the opening league game of the season was in 1989.

We battered them 4-1

Debutant Neil Webb scored a cracking goal.

So 4-1 today - which debutant is scoring a cracker?

Jim Ratcliffe doesn't strike me as a man who got to where he has by allowing people to blackmail him.

Call his bluff, let him dream about playing in the 2030 World Cup as he won't be playing in the 2026 one. Also, Chelsea won't wait for him

Send a message that player power is over at United 👊

The hero of the San Siro, Henning Berg, signed for Manchester United in a £5m transfer from Blackburn.

Thankfully Celio Silva's £2.2m transfer fall through after the Home Office refused him a work permit, otherwise we wouldn't have signed Berg.

Today is the 15th anniversary of when Manchester United made what I believe was for me the strangest transfer in my lifetime.

We were told there was "no value in the market" that summer. City signed David Silva & our attacking midfield signing was Bebe for £7.4m

In the 1st half 18 year old Tevez injured our new boy Rio Ferdinand (he missed the start of the season over it).

In the 2nd half he was sent off for elbowing Paul Scholes in the face

There was absolutely nothing charitable about how the players played in the Charity Shield.

Manchester United and Arsenal players kicked the shit out of each other for 90 minutes 👊
