10.07.2025 08:56 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0In our latest study with P. D'Este, we show that:
➕Failed experiences foster social proximity between orgs
➕Orgs are reluctant to abandon established R&D ties despite funding rejection, to recoup their search and proposal costs
➕Those ties are especially sticky when partners are cognitively distant
What happens when organisations come together to develop a joint R&D proposal and apply for funding, but their application is unsuccessful🚫Does this contribute differently to social proximity and future tie formation than when funding is secured❓
