Please try not to patronize businesses w/ "service fees". This may seem like it's a gratuity, but it isn't. Tips must be distributed to the hourly employees. "Service Fees" have little legal language around how businesses distribute the funds. Those fees go to salaried managers and even owners.

Breaking News: President Donald Trump is now reporting that employment is actually up 5.5 billion percent, and on a related note we should release the unredacted Epstein Files as soon as possible, because he's more than likely a fucking pederast.

Bring Her Back was so good. It's one of the most unique takes on the "possessed child" genre that I have ever seen, and at its core, the film is a meditation on grief, loss, and generational trauma. A solid sophomore film from the Phillipou Brothers (dir. of Talk to Me). #horror #horrorsky

The #Marvel FanClowns calling for Magneto to be a Holocaust survivor, are idiots. It's 2025, and that would make Magneto ~100 years old? It's time to adapt the story, and human slavery is #2 in line for "Most oppressive thing to ever happen to human beings". Suggestion: Cope heavily. #MCU

They invested too much into the shield, and so far, all the enemies behave like slightly different variations of the same thing. Hitboxes are wonky. It's like it's ALMOST good, but when I'm mowing down demons on the back of a dragon, I shouldn't feel even slightly bored. (I'm slightly bored)

That might be part of it. You feel less like an enraged cybernetic gorilla, and more like a bulldozer. The combat doesn't feel as varied. The story feels flat, and the level selection interface is just selecting cards on a screen? What happened to having an interactive ship in between levels?

There's something about Doom: The Dark Ages that doesn't feel right, and I'm not quite sure what it is. Im trying to reserve my judgement until I'm done, but I'm having a hard time feeling like the game is pulling me in like Eternal did. What do you think it is? #Doom #DoomTheDarkAges #Gaming

I don't feel like their reputation was for quality, I feel like their reputation was for creative freedom without studio interference...which led to quality. It also led to some weird stuff too, but we don't have to like every film a studio releases.

DISAGREE! They are into experimentation/allowing filmmakers to achieve their visions, no matter how weird or divisive those visions may be. I love Midsommar and The VVitch and I also love Y2K and I Saw the TV Glow. A24/Neon are the only studios making original films.

Companion fantastic! A techno-thriller that touches on abuse, toxic relationships, and the human need to control things, while exploring the dangers/moral dilemmas presented by the existence artificial intelligence. Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid are rapidly rising to A-List #horror #horrorsky

I'm liking Daredevil: Born Again, but it's like 95% Matt Murdock battling inner demons and like 5% Daredevil being born again.

I really enjoyed The Bondsman, but it's definitely not as good or as interesting as Reaper. The premise is nearly identical, but the Bondsman isn't nearly as fun or charming. #horror #horrorsky

If you watch Y2K expecting some well crafted, piece of art-house horror, you will be disappointed. It's an insane throwback to 90s horror, soaked in nostalgia. It's B-movie fun with touches of brilliance. Try not to take it seriously and enjoy the ride. There's good stuff here. #horror #horrorsky

Thor's rewrite in Ragnarok, and subsequently Infinity War, Endgame, and Love & Thunder demonstrates that the concept of worthiness rests in favor of being either an arrogant prick or a slovenly, lethargic, revenge fueled jerk. At these points, Thor should have not been able to lift Mjolnir. #Marvel

The Parenting starts out strong, but loses its luster as the film goes on. It's very funny and it's definitely an homage to Beetlejuice in many ways. It just struggles to find its voice, and doesn't have a sturdy enough foundation to lean on jokes in the way it does throughout. #horror #horrorsky

I feel like people are too hard on #Netflix films. I liked The Electric State. A popcorn action flick that knows exactly what it is. It has more good moments than bad moments, it's funny, and manages to tell a pretty cohesive story, given it's somewhat bonkers subject matter. #movies #moviesky

YouTube cooking channels will start off in someone's home w/ a video like "A Simple and Quick Way to Improve Your Cheeseburger Skills".

Then they blow up, and will make a video like "Here's How To Grill a 72oz A5 Tomahawk on a $7,500 Tarrison Grill Using Hand Squeezed Olive Oil From Tuscany."

I enjoyed Starve Acre! It's a moody-broody British folk-horror film that really takes its time building an eerie-dreary atmosphere filled w/ grief, trauma, and terror. It's carried HEAVILY by nuanced performances from Matt Smith and Morfydd Clarke and the score is haunting. #horror #horrorsky

My spicy take is that there should have been an actual God. Such a great setup for some type of Lovecraftian Eldritch nightmare. I suppose that would have defeated the whole point of the story and what the film was communicating.
