It's 20 BILLION, but the answer remains the same: this is a stop gap measure intended to prop up a fellow right wing government at a time of perceived vulnerability to the worldwide fascist movement. It will also temporarily hold their economy up long enough for investors liquidate their positions.

The problem is the same as it is with nukes: there is always someone willing to pursue the technology and the last thing you want (from a military perspective) is to face an enemy with a capability that you don't possess yourself which leads to greater proliferation of ever more deadly weapons.

I mean... I get your point, but it's not like he lied or fabricated anything... sometimes the truth is uncomfortable and it's my view that we shouldn't shy away from the truth when it becomes uncomfortable, but rather seek it with more vigor because that is a right we still have and should cherish.
