A chance today for the players to show they have fight and spirit for the fans and Andy King - but no, nothing there. League 1 here we come #lcfc

Watching #lcfc this season has been all about being impressed with how other teams/managers set up their side and run the game. We are headless and directionless, so not at all as interesting.

Don’t rely on government to save the British Library - Impact of Social Sciences Following a catastrophic hack British Library remains in crisis. Can it recover by refocusing on the people, skills and systems that enable it to function?

Absolutely cracking blog post from @simonxix.com calling for collective investment in staff and community-owned, open-source infrastructures in place of costly proprietary systems, based on the BL incident. blogs.lse.ac.uk/impactofsoci...

The British library is in crisis: why does nobody care? The widespread indifference to the British Library's crippling cyberattack demonstrates a perilous failure to value the knowledge infrastructure vital for national prosperity

I’ve written a piece on the curious lack of media and political interest in the issues faced by our national @britishlibrary.bsky.social. This is strange given we live in a world where ideas, knowledge and research are a long-term source of innovation and insight

Take Daka off at half time: suddenly, we attack, we are positive, and we score. Learn, managers, learn! #lcfc

Daka starting tonight for lcfc again. So we'll get nothing from the game again. When will these managers learn?

Everything that is in the White Paper for HE, handily digested.

I'm contemplating not going to watch #lcfc again until we have a manager who doesn't play Daka. He is a -1 player. No skills, and stops any chance we have of scoring

For the LLE to work we need to get serious about student identifiers There's some important data plumbing that needs to be done to make the Lifelong Loan Entitlement work. David Kernohan is your man with an adjustable spanner.

I'm sad to say the ID card conversation is kicking off again. This from a few years ago is still one of my favourite Wonkhe articles.

As a previous recipient of a BA small grant, I'd encourage eligible people to apply. It's possible to get a lot of research value in <£10K. (In my case experimentation with different digital skills pedagogy through hosting a number of open workshops, which influenced a bunch of publications.)
