Christians believe human fallibility too great to allow unchecked power for our leaders (RNS) — If the political realm will not stand up to the autocratic pretensions of the current president, it falls to people of faith to take nonviolent action.

Authoritarianism is not only a political issue, it’s a theological one. The human capacity for evil is too great to allow individuals to have too much unchecked political power.
