It sounds like most people are coming to Bluesky from Threads not Twitter.

How does this website make money?

Just because everyone has access to the same tools doesn’t mean everyone can produce the same quality.

All of us can download photoshop. Probably 1% can produce something notable.

(All things being equal….human craftsmanship still matters)

That’s not great.

So because this is supposed to be on a protocol, does that mean it’s censorship resistant?

Like if I say “boob” here and get banned, does my bored handle essentially die? Or would my content show up in alternative clients? And what are those clients if so?

So far I’ve noticed that Bluesky leans left as opposed to Twitter which leans right. Frankly don’t want either. Working on fixing my feed here so I don’t have to see any politics in my feed.

Can I get a primer on how Bluesky is superior to Farcaster?

I literally don’t know one person who uses Threads.

Nothing is worthless if at least one person wants it.

There’s a reason adult coloring books became so popular. People want to be creative and put their unique stamp on things, but most of us don’t have the skills to overcome the obstacle of a blank canvas. Creators who give their fans lines to color in reap powerful network effects.

Ok I guess this site is looking a lot more appealing today.

Much is on-demand and you are competing against everything that has come before you. Use playbooks not to determine what you should do, but what you can do differently to stand out.

If there's a playbook for how to do X, it's probably already too late for you to use that approach. We live in a world where attention-grabbing things are constantly increasing in supply.
