πΎπ§΅ Since the winter break, a lot of our wonderful feline cuties have been adopted, as well as others joining Abbey Cats waiting for the right home β€οΈ
Here's a thread of our current updates that includes our successful adoptions, available cats, fosters in need, and donations:
Elizabeth is spayed, vaccinated, and ready to go to a home that will give her patience, love, and lots of attention. She would be happy to live with another cat or on her own.
While being a very chatty cat, Elizabeth is fine being home alone for a few hours. She also has a good appetite and always uses the litter box. Despite the scarring in one of her eyes that caused reduction in her vision, it doesn't slow her down. No ongoing eye care is required.
She is sweet-natured and loves to play with her cat dancer toy and wand. She also enjoys being petted and have become best pals with the other cat in her foster home.
π±π§΅ Welcome Elizabeth Taylor to Abbey Cats! She is a beautiful female Burmese (cross) cat, and also a petite girl with fluffy chocolate-brown fur and blue eyes. Elizabeth was abandoned at a veterinary clinic and spent some time in a shelter before going to her foster home.
For the love of God
DO NOT Give pets as Xmas gifts.
Too many of these βgiftsβ end up at the shelter .
A Dog/Cat is a gift we give ourselves and they come with many
sacrifices.
Time, money, and a certain amount of collateral damage in their puppyhood.
Edmund would also be fine in a home with children, as long as toddlers are supervised by an adult.β Edmund needs to have a kitty companion of similar age and energyβ¦ be it another kitten in the program or one already in the home.
Edmund gets along well with the two children, two adult cats and dog who also live in his foster home. A note from Edmundβs foster mom: βEdmund is an affectionate and playful kitten and is a wonderful companion. He would do well in a home with other pets and a kitten the same age.
He adores people and is always ready for playtime and a cuddle. Edmund is a social and curious kitten, although a little less adventurous than his litter mates. He eats well and loves mealtime. He is not overly vocal, keeps his coat very clean and always uses the litter box.
Edmund arrived at his foster home with his mother and littermates. All of them have now been adopted, except for Edmund. Edmund is a typical kitten who loves to chase toys, run and climb. Once he has burned off all that energy, he loves to curl up in your lap and show his love with loud purring.
