Fusarium goeppertmayerae is a species associated with Zea and Sorghum in Australia, and now also found South Africa's Eastern Cape dairy pastures.
This species was named after Maria Goeppert Mayer, a physicist who shared the 1963 Nobel Prize in Physics with J. Hans D. Jensen and Eugene Wigner.

Aschersonia mackerrasiae, a parasitic fungus on whiteflies (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) in the tropical & sub-tropical rainforests of Australia.
Named after Mabel Josephine Mackerras (1896 β1971), an Australian zoologist, entomologist and parasitologist.

Aschersonia merianiae: a parasitic fungus on scale insects in the tropical and sub-tropical rainforests.
Named after Maria Sibylla Merian (1647-1717), who documented the nature of metamorphosis with illustrated life cycles of almost 200 species of insects and amphibians.

@earthlingcards.bsky.social Hevansia mainiae is known only as an asexual morph from several Australian specimens that are morphologically indistinguishable from the description of the holotype of H.novoguineensis collected in Papua New Guinea. So suspect the Hevansia in Rowlands Creek is H. mainiae.
