Damascus is so far unwilling to address the hate speech and extrajudicial violence carried out on its behalf by security forces and armed and civilian constituents in any meaningful manner. Unclear how much is lack of interest vs perceived lack of capacity.

unsurprisingly the government is quick to speak out against foreign 'disinformation' (which in my experience, at least, was outpaced by legit videos of violations) and silent about the hate speech and anti-minority incitement endemic to segments of Syrian social media.
