Ouch! Yeah it's not a necessity to brace it in the day, I just chose to for the first few days to help relieve the aggravated nerve. Also leaning on it (like in an arm chair) can also cause issues so please watch out for that too! Hope your appointment goes well and you have a speedy recovery!

For me bracing it at night and keeping it straight as much as I could throughout the day has been the most helpful. as I’ve improved I’ve been adding in hand strengthening exercises too

Mine is still there but it’s improved without surgery. Now it’s no longer numb 100% of the time but it’s something I have to pay attention to otherwise it’ll come back.
I don’t have the problem of it not stretching out fully though so idk if thats exactly the same thing

For the first time since 2022 I’ve scripted a short story from start to finish. 24 pages of dialogue that definitely needs some heavy editing but I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made :)

Completely agree! i think the fact they hadn’t made the comic yet says a lot, because anyone who actually goes through the process understands how incredibly difficult it is

Yeah there was a few other things they’d done that felt very dismissive of me in particular so I think they’re in that mindset. i figured it’s gotta be some insecurity they have. Something they’re trying to prove to themselves perhaps…wish they’d left me out of it though…

Mind you this comic had yet to be made. Maybe it was a slip of the tongue and maybe this is something I should brain dump eventually but they said “I’m making an actual comic”

So I guess if you’re not under a publisher then you’re not actually making a comic…

As much as I try to forget it, I can’t help but think of this time I met up with an artist who’s art I thought was really cool. I had mentioned I’d made a webcomic a few years ago and they’d mentioned they were working with a writer and publisher to get a comic out at some point-

Thank you Julie~! The next part of the issue is keeping up with my hand exercises and moving into full workouts once I can do repetitive motions without aggravating the nerve. So the biggest issue is more or less cleared but I still got a long way to go to keep this from happening again! 💪

This is the first time in months that I've been able to bend my elbow without pins and needles HOW COOL IS THAT?!

I had to sleep with my arm completely straight for so long and now I can put it back under my head where it belongs (sometimes)

After dealing with hand numbness since last April I think I'm almost free of the issue

Artists are often told not to draw with their wrists but PLEASE take care not to draw with your elbow either. Apparently cubital tunnel syndrome is very common issue and imo a its horrible experience 0/10

-to the point he falls in love constantly, but it never seems to end well for him. He also is known to hold grudges (he's petty and will get you back whether you know it or not). He loves life just as quickly and deeply as he loves people, so he's a pretty easy going and joyful little guy :)
